Water Wanderings

Water Wanderings is an overnight summer camp on the Green River Reservoir in Hyde Park, Vermont which serves people of all ages through youth, teen, young adult and family camps. We cultivate resilience and integrity through environmental education, outdoor adventure and inclusive community building. The Green River Reservoir and surrounding forests serve as our home, playground, and classroom, where campers explore art, equity, sustainability, ecology and outdoors skills.

Through games and activities, campers and counselors build a close-knit community within each small, unique group. Campers sleep in tents, cook over the fire and embrace the simplicity of outdoor living without running water, electricity, or buildings of any kind. During the day, we swim, hike and canoe- learning and growing together. Our vision is that young people will disrupt oppression by building healthy and equitable relationships with themselves, each other and the earth.
